I’m always scared in debates that someone will bring up something I can’t answer. Less so in political debates, because I can just make up the wildest thing and it will probably be true. Or, you know, blame it all on Israel. But with theological debates, I get scared.
On the bright side, unless you’re going up on stage and speaking in front of a bunch of people like you’re the expert, there’s no shame in admitting that you’re not entirely sure, and you need to do more research. Though it’s definitely best to learn the argument before debating.
