News: Charlie Kirk was an American Hero.

The day that I post this is 9/11, a day that went down in history when the world stood still as two planes crashed into the World Trade Center, a third smashed into the Pentagon, and the fourth crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania, preventing the terrorists from reaching their target, but killing everyone on board.

Yesterday – September 10th – will go down in infamy as well.

Yesterday, Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, became a martyr on the level of MLK. He was speaking at a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University, answering questions about transgenderism and its ties with shootings, when an assassin shot him in the neck from about 200 yards. The video of this went viral, showing Kirk slumping over in his chair as blood flowed heavily. Amidst the crowd of 3,000 people were his wife and two children.

The campus quickly erupted in chaos and the university went on lockdown, canceling classes, shutting down the campus, and having students escorted out by police two hours later. News of the event spread like wildfire online, and everyone from President Trump to senators to the commentators at the Daily Wire tweeted their support for Kirk and encouraged people online to pray for him. Even Dean Withers, a 21-year-old Leftist commentor who had debated Kirk on an episode of Jubilee, broke down in tears upon hearing the news. Kirk, meanwhile, had been rushed to the hospital where he passed away at the age of 31.

Since the announcement of his death, the FBI has teamed up with law enforcement to find the assassin, who (as of the time I’m writing this) remains at large. Online, the reaction has been mixed. On the right, Charlie Kirk’s death has been marked by profound grief and mourning, with social media being flooded with condolences to his family and memories of people’s experiences meeting, working with, and talking with him.

Meanwhile, on the Left, the reaction has been disgusting. News stations such as CNN and MSNBC have been blaming everyone from Donald Trump to Charlie Kirk himself for this heinous murder. Just a yesterday, at 5:01, MSNBC released an official statement on their X page, apologizing for Matthew Dowd’s inappropriate and insensitive comments on the situation. Dowd’s exact words were: ““[He is] constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech, aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which often then to hateful actions.”

Meanwhile, all hell broke loose in the senate. After House Speaker Mike Johnson called the senate to a halt for a moment of silence, Rep. Lauren Boebert requested a verbal prayer. In response, the Democrats began screeching, with three dozen Democrats screaming in opposition. Per Daily Wire: “Daily Mail reporter Jon Michael Raasch described the incident as ‘Possibly the ugliest moment I’ve ever witnessed in politics.'”

Online, however, were some of the most vile, depraved comments I have ever seen, as people celebrate his death. For example, here are some posts I found on Bluesky (my apologies for the profanity):

This was no mere accident as some people would like you to think. This was a politically motivated assassination. There is no way around it. The shooter had been on the roof of a building, and many comments under the video of Kirk’s death talk about how the shot had to be from a long-range rifle in the hands of someone who knew exactly what they were doing. Furthermore, the FBI has found bullets from the shooter that are engraved with pro-trans and “antifascist” messages. This was an assassination like that of Martin Luther King Jr., who was murdered April 4, 1968, while preparing for a march for sanitation workers’ rights. The reason why I and others say this is because of what Charlie Kirk’s life and legacy had been.

At only 18-years-old, Kirk co-founded TPUSA, a non-profit organization that worked to promote conservative values at high schools and college campuses. It quickly gained traction, with many donations coming in from prominent conservatives. As it grew, TPUSA launched initiatives such as Professor Watchlist and School Board Watchlist and became the fastest growing conservative youth activist organization in the world. He started The Charlie Kirk Show in 2019 and wrote several books, including Time for a Turning Point and The MAGA Doctrine. However, what he was possibly the most famous for was his debates on college campuses, in which he sat calmly at his booth and answered whatever questions were presented to him. His calm debating style and charisma quickly gained him a large following of GenZers as he changed hearts and minds through conversation, even bringing many to Christ.

With his death, we may be tempted to despair. Indeed, we have lost a great man. However, there are three reasons why we shouldn’t. First, though we may never be 100% sure why God allowed Charlie to die and didn’t work a miracle, we can know that our God is a good God. He wouldn’t have let this happen if He didn’t have a plan for what comes next. Many people despaired when Rush Limbaugh and similar conservative radio hosts died. However, more rose to take their place, ready to speak to the next generation.

Second, we can rest assured that Charlie Kirk has entered his eternal rest in Heaven. For that reason alone, we should feel comfort. Like the rest of us, his days were numbered and today was the day that God allowed him to reach the finish line and get his reward.

Third, though his voice has been silenced by an assassin’s bullet, his voice has not gone with him into death. His voice lives on in those who share his vision for America. His voice lives on in those who are willing to fight as he did to keep freedom, liberty, and justice alive in this country. Charlie Kirk may be dead, but in his 31 years of life, he has inspired millions to continue the fight one conversation at a time. We must be as brave as he was and continue to speak our minds and stand up for our values, even when the Left tries to silence us.

And for those of you on the Left who are celebrating this atrocity, there’s a famous quote from the character Tyrion Lannister of George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones that says, “When you tear out a man’s tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you’re only telling the world you fear what he might say.” This could not be truer. Yesterday, a coward killed a man because of what that man had to say. This was no act of bravery. Those of you who celebrate this are not brave but are as craven as the one who fired the gun.

Until next time,

If you believe in something, you need to have the courage to fight for those ideas – not run away from them or try and silence them. – Charlie Kirk (1993-2025)

  1. Charlie fought for this country with the strength of a true patriot. His death will go down in history. John 15:18 ESV, ““If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.” Charlie was martyred for the faith, and he left a torch that needs to be carried onward. I pray that we will have the bravery to pick it up and shine God’s light in the darkest corners. RIP, Charlie Kirk.

  2. MJ invited me here to post what Iwould like. Here it is. Now, curious to see how long it might remain.. This is a response to her own post on my blog, club schadenfreude.MJ “And how many cities have been burned down by Republicans? How many actual riots have been started by Republicans? How many Republican speakers and politicians have actually incited violence against those on the other side? I would love to know.

And on that same note, how many cities have been burned down by Democrats? How many riots have been because of Democrats? How many Democrat speakers and politicians have been inciting violence and turning up the heat in the political climate for the past 8 years?

As for “literally not knowing why Kirk was murdered” the FBI found unused bullets in the assassin’s gun that were inscribed with pro-trans and “antifacist” rhetoric. Incidentally, the topic Kirk was speaking on when he was shot was about gun violence from transgender people. To ignore this is an example of willful ignorance.

If you “have yet to see someone ‘celebrating’ a murder,” how about a quick trip to TikTok, Instagram, etc.?

I was in early elementary school when Obama was in office, so I have no memory of this event. Please fill me in. If they were calling for that, that is wrong as well.

Words aren’t violence. If I misgender someone, that isn’t violence. If I say that someone is stupid, that’s not violence. It’s when someone is actually promoting violence and people go commit acts of violence that it’s wrong. Charlie wasn’t doing any of that. Go watch some of his videos. He was incredibly peaceful and respectful to everyone, even if they assaulted him or threatened to.

If you would like, you can read my tribute to Charlie on my blog where I explain a bit more of this in depth. If you want to write a post about it, go ahead. You’re adding to the dialogue, so I respect it even if I don’t agree.”Yep, here we go again with more lies from MJ. No cities have been burned down,so your lies fail again, MJ. How many riots by conservatives? Oh, how about January 6, dear? Republicans have repeatedly incited violence against others. Let’s see: Charlie Kirk himself claimed it should be permissible to burn rainbow flags and civil rights flags in public. Conservative christians have incited violence againast abortion providers and clinics. Shall I list those murdered by your fellow idiots? the orange rapist has said to “knock the crap out of” anyone he doesn’t like and promised to pay their legal fees. Chaia Raychick and Ryan Nichols have shown photos of people that they claim weren’t respectful enough about Kirk’s death, and say to harm them. Steve Bannon has said we are “at war”in this country.

Curious how you can’t name a single city “burned down” or a single democrat that has incited by democrats. Your own inablity to give names shows that you are just one more liar.

The knowledge about the bullets was just released less than a half hour ago. Yep, Kirk was killed for being a fascist, which he was. That doesn’t mean he should ahve been killed. Curious how I’ve seen nothing about being “protrans” but you may or may not be right. Kirk has reaped what he has sown, with his repeated hate and lies. Yep, he was speaking about such things and lying about them as usual when he was shot. how not surprising.

Again, Kirk wanted free access to guns. He got it and look what happened.

It’ great how yet again, you can’t show any one “celebrating”. Who on tik tok? Who on instagram? You are lying again, dear.

It’s hilarious how you have to plead ignorance about Obama. You know history dear, or are you just lazy and ignorant as usual?

“On September 29, 2019, with his impeachment looming, President Donald Trump (@realDonaldTrump) retweeted a warning by the Evangelical Pastor Robert Jeffress, “If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal.” Two days later, U.S. Representative Louie Gohmert, a Republican of Texas, warned Democrats that their “coup” was “pushing America into a civil war.”[1] On far-right websites Trump supporters suggesteddrastic and even violent actions against the “enemy” within. Some warned that they may need to exercise their Second Amendment rights—in other words, take up arms against the traitors. Responding to one of Trump’s daily Twitter attacks on Adam Schiff, the leading U.S. Representative in the impeachment inquiry, his followersseconded the President’s rhetorical assaults. One male commenter attacked Schiff as “a co-conspiratory [sic] in a coup attempt. This is treason.” That same day, a 52-year old man in Tucson, Arizona, left a death threat on Schiff’s voice mail. “I’m gonna f_ing blow your brains out,” he warned.[2] The would-be attacker told police officers that “he watches Fox News and likely was upset at something that he saw on the news.” He also stated that “he strongly dislikes the Democrats, and feels they are to blame for the country’s political issues.”[3] In his residence, the police found an AR-15 assault rifle, two pistols, and 700 rounds of ammunition.[4]Although these examples of hate speech and threats of violence seemed shocking, they were merely iterations of Trumpian rhetoric and signposts for significant increases in right-extreme violence and school bullying in the United States. Our research found that Trump’s online and off-line hate speech corresponded with his followers’ aggressive rhetoric, violent threats, and actual violence against Trump’s declared “enemies,” most of all, minorities, the news media, and oppositional politicians.Trump’s Divisive and Violent Demagoguery Donald Trump has been characterized and criticized as populist and autocrat. He certainly is first of all a demagogue who, like all demagogues, has distinguished between his loyal ingroup on the one hand and the disloyal outgroup(s) on the other hand. This polarization allows demagogues to stir “hatred of the outgroup(s)…through scapegoating.”[5] Trump has proven a master in scapegoating others for all kinds of political, social, and cultural problems with Barack Obama, Democrats, the liberal “deep state”, immigrants andrefugees high on his lists of scapegoats. They got rid of a lot of bad people that were there for a long time [they were in fact peaceful “Black Lives Matter” protesters]. Sort of like me in Washington, draining the swamp. I never knew it was so deep. But it’s happening. It’schappening, I never knew it was so deep. It’s deep and thick and a lot of bad characters.I stand before you today to declare the silent majority is stronger than ever before. They want to demolish our heritage. And when you see those lunatics all over the streets, it’s damn nice to have arms. Damn nice. …Theright to keep and bear arms, we’ll protect your second amendment. Above all, we will never stop fighting for the sacred values that bind us together as one America, we will support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. Our incredible success in rebuilding America stands in stark contrast to the extremism and destruction and violence of the radical left.We are one movement, one people, one family, and one glorious nation under God… Together we will make America wealthy again, we will make America strong again, we will make America proudagain, we will make America safe again, and we will make America great again.[13]

    so here’s your education.

Words with intent are violence, and you only try to lie otherwise since you don’t want to be responsible for what you say. When someone like Kirk claims that jews control the world, that is inciting violence. When a christain says that someone deserves death and worse, that is inciting violence. You are quite an incomeptent liar when you say Kirk was “incredibly peaceful” when I know better.

Let’s look at quotes from him.

If we would have said that Joy Reid and Michelle Obama and Sheila Jackson Lee and Ketanji Brown Jackson were affirmative action picks, we would have been called racists. Now they’re coming out and they’re saying it for us … You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.
