Blog: Happy Memorial Day! Let’s Remember and Respect Our Veterans.

One of the very disturbing trends I’ve seen over the past year or so is how little we respect our veterans and service members nowadays, especially on the Left. I’m sure you’ve seen the absolutely disgusting videos of deranged people on YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, and others wishing death and serious mental illness on veterans, but in case you haven’t, here are a few examples that the YouTuber Misha Petrov compiled that went viral:

Another example of this type of disrespect comes from a certain someone that we’ve become very familiar with in recent months, who posted this meme:

Vel then “corrected” herself, saying:

“oh my bad, he’s a 4 year office pogue with nothing distinguished about his service, getting the “medals” people get for just breathing and not [****] up in the military.”

[Author’s Note: Just real quick, I want to comment on Vel’s meme with some insight I gleaned from my dad who served in the Marine Corps as a corporal. While yes, most of Vance’s medals are ones that you’re given for pretty much surviving bootcamp in the military in general, he has a Navy Achievement Medal, Letter of Appreciation, and a Meritorious Mast Certificate of Appreciation. All three of these are really hard to get as the Navy Achievement Medal and Letter of Appreciation are personal awards that you get for doing something. A Meritorious Mast Certificate of Appreciation is a really big one as it’s a promotion. That’s also not mentioning that personal medals in the Marine Corps are harder to achieve than in any other branch. There’s also the fact that even if Vance was a journalist, every Marine is infantry. In fact, that’s why they rely on the Navy for medical aid and chaplains, because those two jobs require you to be unarmed. It doesn’t matter what position you’re in; if you’re a Marine and they need you, you’re going to go fight. And as a final thing, 80% of all jobs in the military aren’t directly combat. Good job, Vel, for denigrating the service of 80% of the U.S. military, you delightful person, you!]

These are just a few examples of the disgusting rhetoric that our veterans and service members have to put up with when they come home, many of whom come home from warzones where they put their lives on the line so we can be safe. And these are also the same people who claim to be on the side of veterans when it seems to benefit them politically.

Guys, let’s stop with this crap. I don’t care which side of the political spectrum you’re on, if you live in America, you live in the freest country on Earth, where you live under the fundamental rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, rights that you would be hard-pressed to find respected anywhere else. However, those rights do not come for free. The price for them is the blood of those brave enough to go out and fight to preserve those rights.

This is the price for your freedom, so you can post your opinions, no matter how dumb, and not have to worry about being killed by the government for them. If you cannot be grateful and respect those who have served in our military, then you can leave. No one is stopping you. You can get up off your whiny butt, pack up your crap, buy a plane ticket, and move. I’ve heard that China, England (a.k.a New Pakistan), Gaza, etc. are pretty nice this time of year.

Until next time,

M.J.

  1. Thanks for showing how your orange rapist and vance are quite the failures. I do appreciate you posting my meme.Curious how you complain here and surprise, the orange rapist has no probelm disrespecting the military on Memorial day and demands a parade forcing them to march for his birthday. Again, Vance’s awards aren’t hard to get. He wrote PR from a tent. That’s what he got the navy achievement medal for. Literally, he did his job and got a medal. Same for the Marine achievement medal. These are all no more than the typical “atta boy” nonsense given for morale. Your dad seems to be pulling your leg. None of these are hard to get.

This is pure nonsense: “Meritorious Mast Certificate of Appreciation is a really big one as it’s a promotion. “nope, it isn’t. “Meritorious Mast (MW) Whenever the performance of an enlisted Marine is considered noteworthy or commendable beyond the usual requirements of duty, or the Marine demonstrates exceptional industry, judgement or initiative, the senior person wh has observed the Marine’s performance shall make a report of this to the Marine’s Commander (battalion or equivalent echelon). These reports shall be given careful consideration and, if appropriate, a Meritorious Mast will be Awarded.  (Battalion Order 1650.0 Personal Awards)This is literally what a Mast says ““DURING THE PERIOD OF (MONTH AND YEAR) THROUGH (MONTH AND YEAR), (GRADE AND NAME) PERFORMED (HIS/HER) DEMANDING DUTIES IN AN OUTSTANDING MANNER WHILE SERVING AS (COMPANY), HEADQUARTERS BATTALION, TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.”” “A Meritorious Mast may help to get a promotion but it is not a promotion. Now, that you simply make up things, it seems that you have no respect for the military, MJ. Let’s see what your orange rapist had to say about the military:”That was after he (Trump) posted a separate message proclaiming “HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!” Wishing people a happy Memorial Day is regarded as verboten because the day is considered a solemn day to honor soldiers killed in service.”

“On Tuesday, when asked by a reporter if he wished he had been tougher on Iran, given the severity of the injuries incurred in that attack, Trump downplayed the result.

“What does ‘injured’ mean?” he said. “You mean because they had a headache? Because the bombs never hit the fort…”””The Department of Veterans Affairs is planning a reorganization that includes cutting over 80,000 jobs from the sprawling agency that provides health care and other services for millions of veterans, according to an internal memo obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press.

The VA’s chief of staff, Christopher Syrek, told top-level officials at the agency Tuesday that it had an objective to cut enough employees to return to 2019 staffing levels of just under 400,000. That would require terminating tens of thousands of employees after the VA expanded during the Biden administration, as well as to cover veterans impacted by burn pits under the 2022 PACT Act.””In a conversation with senior staff members on the morning of the scheduled visit, Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.”

“He lost, so I never liked him as much after that, ‘cause I don’t like losers,” he said. Trump went on to dismiss McCain’s war service: “He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured.””

“”After Avila’s performance, Trump walked over to congratulate him, but then said to Milley, within earshot of several witnesses, ‘Why do you bring people like that here? No one wants to see that, the wounded.’ Never let Avila appear in public again, Trump told Milley.””I do love to see just how MJ loves trump who hates the troops and has shown it many times. She also hates people of a different color than she is. Such a nice comment about “new pakistan” to show her as a typical Christian nationalist.it’s rather notable that she doesn’t mention Russia in “bad” places people can do to.

    1. I’m allowing this comment of yours to be posted because I want everyone (especially the people who come here from your blog) to see your true colors of how little you actually respect our veterans. While there are definitely medals that are easy to get, there are others that are extremely hard to get, something you don’t seem to understand. And frankly, I’m more willing to listen to someone who actually went through Marine Corps bootcamp and infantry training, later became a Corporal, and got a Meritorious Mast than someone who thinks that regurgitating CNN talking points and throwing strawman arguments at people is being brace. Before you go throwing this crap out there and if you care so much about veterans, I suggest you go to your local VA and talk to some veterans and ask how easy it was to get their medals. Heck, maybe tell them what you told me if you want to be really gutsy. And while you’re at it, read the book Stolen Valor by B.G. Burkett while you’re at it, as it will show you what the military experience really looks like.

(P.S. as for not including Russia, I didn’t include it because nobody – Right or Left – would ever want to move to Russia because it’s Russia. Enough said. The places I did include, I included because they’re place that the Left idolizes.)

  2. So, you say, “That’s also not mentioning that personal medals in the Marine Corps are harder to achieve than in any other branch.” One must wonder how you know such a thing. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard would like to know.

  3. My dad and uncle were both in the Marine Corps. They were both honorably discharged. My uncle’s friend wasn’t so lucky. The fact that people disrespect men who watched their buddies die, and the families of the dead, just sickens me. It’s hard to imagine being so detached from reality that you don’t understand or don’t care that wives were left without husbands, children left with fathers. Again, it sickens me.
