Blog: Things I’m Thankful For.

To state the obvious, tomorrow is Turkey Day, so I figured I’ll do a short post about the things I’m grateful for.

: Jesus

He’s the Way, the Truth, and the Life, y’all. No one’s saved except through Him, so I’m grateful that God sent His Son to atone for our sins, so we don’t have to try to save ourselves in our own power.

: The Bible

As God’s Word, it’s the key to understanding how we’re saved through Jesus. And after reading the Quran, I’ve never been more thankful for the Bible’s existence. It’s clearly written, follows a logical story thread, and just makes sense. Every time I finish reading part of the Quran, I thank God for the Bible not being like it.

: Family

I wouldn’t be here without my family, and they are my biggest supporters. Yes, I sometimes want to strangle my brother, but who else would I create fever-dream-like stories that make absolutely no sense and make me question our sanity with to pass the time?

: Friends

I’m grateful for the friends I’ve had, the ones who have stuck around, and the opportunity to meet new people over the years.

: America

This country has its problems, but compared to other countries around the world, it’s still the best. We can speak our minds freely, believe as we wish, own guns (though it is becoming harder to do so), you can become successful if you’re willing to work for it, etc.

Until next time,

M.J.
