Characters of the Terradraconis Saga: Cedwyn

Cedwyn is the prince of the Northern Kingdom, the son of Queen Rhiannon and brother to Kaira. His father was a man of renown, a warrior who Rhiannon fell in love with shortly before becoming queen, though he later went on a campaign to put down a rebellion and never returned, for reasons only the Queen knew, and his name was thoroughly scrubbed from the records of the Northern Kingdom. Cedwyn, grief stricken, swore off his right to the kingship to become a knight, believing that no king should go into the fight only to be killed and thus leave the kingdom vulnerable. Rhiannon initially fought Cedwyn’s decision, though she eventually gave into it and let him go, preferring Kaira to be heir to her kingdom, though that preference was short lived.

Cedwyn was also the first and only person to ever marry one of Ieaba’s messengers, Myfanwy (mi-VAN-wee), a servant of the messenger Anmanli, the goddess of peace, mercy, and rest. Their story is bittersweet and their marriage short-lived as a plague fell over the land, one which required Myfanwy’s life to purge.

Cedwyn’s story is told in “The Tale of Myfanwy”, an original four-part story starting December 4th.
