As a bit of an update in the year since I wrote this post, we now all know exactly who the assassin was: Tyler Robinson. Robinson was arrested for the assassination, and now faces 7 charges, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, felony discharge of a weapon, and other crimes. If convicted, he could get the death penalty.
In the meantime, people such as Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson – people who once knew Charlie personally and worked closely with him – have taken his death as an opportunity to spread the most blatantly ridiculous conspiracy theories possible about who really killed Charlie Kirk. In so doing, not only have they made themselves look retarded, but they have also turned the focus away from the actual facts of the case, putting all of the attention on themselves. The only good thing that has come of this particular situation is the fact that people are waking up to how evil these people are and are unsubscribing in droves, but even then, they still maintain huge audiences.
On the bright side, however, while many people still celebrate Charlie’s death, his assassination has woken many Democrats up to the fact that the Left is evil. Many of them saw his death and began taking a second look at their political party. Even without the politics involved, Charlie’s death also inspired countless young people to begin speaking up about what they believe. They saw him – a man who died for his beliefs – and many said to themselves, “If he could do it, so can I.”
So, instead of mourning this man, let’s instead celebrate the life he lived and the lasting impact he had on millions of young people, not just in America, but around the globe.
