Happy New Years! It’s the end of 2025 so I just wanted to do a review of what I’ve been up to this year and thank you all for your support. It’s been a big year for the Tanuki Corner, so here’s some highlights….
#1: 42.8K Views
This year’s views nearly quadrupled from last year’s 12.3 thousand views. As for visitors, it tripled from 8.5 thousand to 25.8 thousand. The five most popular posts have been, in order:
#1: Blog: Bryce Crawford Needs the Real Jesus – Part 5: Maddy Dodd
#2: Blog/News: Rick Riordan Needs to Keep His Mouth Shut About Things He Doesn’t Understand.
#3: Blog: Bryce Crawford Needs the Real Jesus. Part 1: Todd White and the Problem with Hyper-Charismatics.
#4: Blog: Bryce Crawford Needs the Real Jesus. Part 3: The Grift.
#5: News: The War of the Rohirrim Anime Might be Slightly Better Than Rings of Power.
How this happened, I’m not entirely sure, but thank you all for reading my posts about this stuff!
#2: The Tanuki Corner YouTube Channel
Last year, I started my YouTube channel though it never really took off. However, over the past few months, I’ve been trying to post more videos and am now up to 71 subscribers. It’s not a lot, but it’s better than nothing. Give it a watch by searching “The Tanuki Corner” on YouTube or click the link above.
#3: The Debunking Deconstruction Series and Apologetics Page
Started after an interesting argument with an atheist, I started the series to answer common objections to Christianity. It’s slowed down over the months, but I think it’s a good resource for anyone seeking some answers to those objections and I’ll post more on it as I see new claims. If you’re not strictly looking for answers to objections and just want some other info about Christianity, there’s plenty to be found on the Apologetics tab on the home screen.
#4: Flippin’ Fatwa Friday
After getting a comment from a Muslim girl on one of my posts, I started thinking, “I should read the Quran to understand where Muslims are coming from.” So, starting this May, I did, and I started the Flippin’ Fatwa Friday series to talk about what I was noticing as I read the Quran. I just finished that book, and it was awful overall, so expect more content from this series breaking down how the Quran is not the real word of God.
#5: What to Expect in 2026
I’m not entirely sure what to say for this category. In May, I will be finishing my high school career and jumping into the wonderful world of job hunting, taxes, and figuring out my life. That said, I may not be able to write as many blog posts as usual, but I will do my best to keep the Tanuki Corner going. I plan to write a lot more debunking Islam and other false religions, with reviews and miscellaneous posts mixed in there as well.
Thank you all for taking the time to read the Tanuki Corner for the last two years. I look forward to seeing what comes next.
Until next time,
M.J.
