Moireg was a controversial figure in Terradraconis’s history for his role in the Great War. Originally called Varjo, he was a mercenary from the province Apovlitos that worked for Hemlock, the captain of the guard of the Aewikes who led a coup that took over the Southern Kingdom. He quickly moved up through the ranks until he became one of her most trusted men and was sent to spy on possible conspirators, put down rebellions, and torture people for information. Because of his position, he was given a life of luxury indulging his most base desires until he was wrapped up in a conspiracy with the weakening Hemlock’s right-hand man, Chelem. After suffering a divinely inspired crisis about what he was doing, Varjo/Moireg switched sides and joined the true heirs of the Southern Kingdom in removing Hemlock and Chelem from power. He offered himself up to be put in prison and after much begging, the heirs consented to his request. He voluntarily spent a hundred years there before being released and going on a journey across the world to absolve himself of his past.
Moireg’s story reaches its end in “The Tale of Myfanwy”, an original four-part story coming out on December 4th.
