Art Gallery: Foggy Mountains in Charcoal

Continuing with my new love of experimenting with charcoal and graphite pencils, I recently did this drawing in my sketchbook to see how well I could work with just this medium alone.

In other words…I was bored.

This is not my first landscape drawing in charcoal, but it is certainly one of the best since it’s the most well-blended and the paper didn’t become all scrunched up from being loose while I was working on it. I also was able to build up a lot more depth on it than in other drawings, allowing me to give it that misty effect towards the bottoms of the mountains.

All in all, I would rate it a 10/10.

Until next time,

M.J.
