Art Gallery: Tropical Sunset

This was a take on a painting that my uncle had done several years ago with watercolor that I decided to try to make better. The original painting was done using a wet-on-dry technique that was reminiscent of acrylic painting, which my uncle was more familiar with. That meant the original had a lot of streaks and the colors weren’t as bright as they could’ve been. My version was done using a wet-on-wet technique for the water and the sky, allowing for smooth blending of colors and adding a smoother look to the entire piece.
