This was one of my first paintings while I was learning how to paint in watercolor. Inspired by the book No-Fail Watercolor by the YouTuber Makoccino, this painting was one of the lessons on layering. Since watercolor is a very translucent/transparent medium, in order to layer it, you have to work with light colors first and darker colors later, whereas with acrylic paint, you usually work from darkest to lightest.
